Fire Ravages American Township Home on Saturday Morning

AMERICAN TOWNSHIP, ALLEN COUNTY, OHIO — A Saturday morning fire in American Township left one person hospitalized and caused extensive damage to a home on Fraunfelter Road.

The American Township Fire Department responded promptly to reports of a working house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters entered the smoke-filled structure and successfully rescued a resident, who was immediately transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center for treatment. Their condition remains unknown at this time.
