
On the evening of Friday, March 7, 2025, a tragic event unfolded at the Holiday Inn Express in Auburn Hills, Michigan, resulting in the deaths of two adults and leaving a 3-year-old child unharmed.
At approximately 10:45 p.m., Auburn Hills police responded to reports of a possible domestic violence incident at the hotel located at 3990 Baldwin Road. As officers approached the designated room, they heard two gunshots. Upon entering, they discovered a 34-year-old woman from Saginaw and a 33-year-old man from Vassar, both deceased from gunshot wounds. A 3-year-old girl was also present in the room but was found unharmed. She was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and later released to a family member.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the male individual fatally shot the female before taking his own life. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab assisted at the scene, and autopsies are scheduled to be performed by the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office. Authorities have withheld the identities of the deceased pending notification of their families.
The Auburn Hills Police Department has emphasized that this appears to be an isolated incident with no further threat to the public. They are urging anyone with additional information to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
